You were tired of the long commute to the office that you spent listening to your favorite DJ as he made numerous attempts to make you laugh and sing along with songs to help you welcome the morning with a smile. This ride time was spent psyching yourself up to get your mood right in order to ensure that you were ready to deal with one more day in the office.
Pulling into your parking space indicated your last minute of morning peace; so you always tried your best to prolong it. Knowing that you could not avoid walking into the building and facing a barrage of good morning greetings, it almost felt as though you were having an out of body experience. There was just no escaping the reality of facing Corporate America each and every week day.
It happened on a Wednesday, you can remember it like it was yesterday. A friend of yours introduced you to a home based business that you were extremely excited about. You became emerged in this new business; it took off fast and things were going well with it. Sales were coming in quickly and the commission checks were getting bigger each month.
Working this business was actually fun and you were enjoying meeting people who you found you had a lot in common with. They actually think like you!
Now, for some reason the plan that you put together to build wealth for yourself and your family is slowing down tremendously and you are frantically trying to figure out why. You certainly have not lost hope, but now you sit in your home office wondering if you made the right decision. All you can do is scramble to try to put your finger on what may be taking you off track.
You know that you have the right product and you are doing everything that you’ve been told to do, but this is just not working as well or as consistently as it once was. You want and need to produce results!
Your mind is starting to play tricks on you and you are beginning to rethink your decision. Negative thoughts are creeping into your head, “maybe you should have stayed at the job that you disliked so much.” You had been trained to keep your mindset in the proper place, but that was difficult now.
Still, you are trying to hang on to the hope that it is possible to live your dreams after leaving your job as you so strongly believed at one time. This is requiring more time and energy than you expected and your timeline to freedom is turning into a timeline to helplessness. You thought that this would be so simple to do, but as you look around it seems as though everyone else is experiencing success except you.
Did you think that your dreams would fall from the sky and grab you and claim you? Unfortunately, it doesn’t work that way.
If you ever feel like you may have made the wrong decision, take a minute to read these 5 fail proof steps that are essential to teh success of your business.
1. Take massive Action
Be willing to perform huge, giant actions that amount to a large quantity of focused steps. Taking massive action can be very tiring, but it will lead to results. You must be willing to go above and beyond and take actions that only a person who is highly driven would do. A person who takes little or no action will get little or no results. Therefore, a person who takes massive action will get massive results. Nothing can stand in the way of a person who is committed to taking massive action. As matter of fact, either join them or get out of their way.
2. Be Persistent
Be willing to go over, under, around or through all obstacles and unwilling to let anyone or anything stop you from staying on the path that will lead you to your dreams. Persistence means that you will not be stopped by failure. Be the type of person that will keep getting up after each stumble, punch or fall; a person who will not waiver from getting to their destiny. If you are willing to say to yourself, “I will continue to work my business until I stop breathing”, then you can be labeled as persistent.
3. Be Consistent
Be consistent in everything you do. Begin with your daily activities and work your way around to those occasional duties. You might need to create a checklist or develop a calendar that indicates times for teach task. You determine how to best structure your days, but make certain that you stick to it and do not allow any distractions to get in the way. Consistency will pay off and you will begin to see the progress that you are looking for. You will be moving in the direction of your goals and you will be able to push yourself forward. Similar to the snowball effect, once that small, baseball size snowball get’s rolling down hill, it gains momentum and soon becomes giant sized snowball. Think of yourself as that snowball.
4. Find A Mentor
You will always be able to find someone who has more experience than you or someone who has been through a similar situation as you are dealing with. Make sure to seek out these people and get to know them; in doing so, find a mentor. Building key relationships are very important; they can make a real difference in the timeline of your success. You will be surprised by the things that you can learn by just being in the presence of successful people. They will can teach you and share their experiences with you; both successes and failures. Your mentor will tell you things that you might not otherwise find out. Widen your network, build relationships, watch, listen, learn and do what your mentors suggest.
5. Believe in Yourself
If you don’t believe in yourself, then you can not expect anyone else to believe in you. Know that you can do whatever it takes to complete your goals, but, you have to know without a doubt that you can do this. I challenge you to find a successful athlete who will say that he or she does not believe in him or herself. If you have any self doubt, then you have to begin to change your thoughts to gain a positive mindset. Think about who you are and what you’ve accomplished so far in life. Reflect upon how you were able to succeed and know that you can do even greater things. Listen to some inspirational podcasts, search the internet for ways think positive thoughts, research positive quotes, read books about changing mindset etc. Do whatever it takes for you to affirm yourself and be so full of confidence that you truly believe in you.
By following these five action steps, it will become clear that it is possible to live your dreams after leaving your job in Corporate America, because one day you will realize that you are doing just that!
