Red, White and Blue day! Yay!! Fireworks and our 4th of July celebration go together like ice cream and apple pie. Our motto is… “Let the festivities begin!” So, you better bet that we proceeded to participate in plenty of American Independence Day activities yesterday.
We have to admit that there’s nothing like fireworks, food, and fun! We wouldn’t miss out on that for anything!
We remember (not so long ago… wink-wink) when the day began with spending a few hours working with our Dad to trick out our bikes with flag-inspired frills & thrills! Every kid in the neighborhood joined in this 4th of July tradition as we all cruised along the procession route in the parade waving to the crowd!
Right now I can still hear the flick-tick-flick-tick playing cards popping and snapping on the bike spokes and the shhhhhhhh sound of the tissue paper strips hanging from our handlebars. Our rides were always decked out!
When we are all together, gathering at home with the entire family, we’ve got some bomb 4th of July recipes that we love to indulge in!! They’re amazing! If you didn’t catch them in time for this year, just tuck them away for next year. Make sure to not only check them out but actually try them. They’re really quick and simple to make!
Now fast forward to yesterday. Each of us had a ‘real blast’ celebrating in different cities; in our own unique ways. Out of all the pictures we took, here are some of our favorites from our 4th of July fun!

Throughout the day… we were calling and face-timing each other!! I’m sure you’re not surprised; that’s what we do! We had an amazing time and well… until next year when we’ll do it all over again.
What about you? Tell us about your 4th of July celebration; what did you do to celebrate?
