5 Things that Network Marketers are Talking About
There are a lot of things that Network Marketers are talking about that you need to make sure you know about.
It’s always a good feeling when you can join a conversation and add value. The only way to make sure that you are up to date with things that are important in our network marketing world is to stay plugged in and learn as much as you can.
Things are constantly changing so just being present and active in our business will broaden your knowledge base; sometimes without you even knowing that it is happening.
I can remember when I first joined a network marketing business many years ago…
I decided to attend the annual convention… at lunch one afternoon, I was sitting at a table with some established network marketers and I discovered that I could not add anything to the conversation because it was well above my head.
They were talking about the tools and methods that they were using to operate and manage their network marketing business. I had obviously not used these methods (or any others for that matter) so my ears perked up.
I was secretly embarrassed to admit that I wasn’t familiar with what they were talking about, but as the conversation continued I decided to speak up. I announced that I was relatively new to the business and that I was there to learn as much as I could and get my business off to a good start.
Have you ever felt like this or been in a similar situation?
Well, the good news is that the table lit up and before I knew it I had 4 people giving me a great orientation about the products, the company, presentation techniques and so much more. I could never have dreamed of getting a better look at things and I kept in touch with them for years afterwards.
So, when I returned home after the convention I started tapping into training and getting to know the leaders in my business. I listened to cassette tapes (yes, that’s right… cassette tapes) and attended meetings, went to home parties and I did all I could to learn. I was determined to make my business work and that’s exactly what I did.
Being knowledgeable about what network marketers are talking about will certainly help your business grow, as long as you implement the things that you learn. Staying “in the know” and educated about things that are relevant to network marketers has also helped me grow as a person.
Now, before I talk about the 5 things that network marketers are talking about… I have to say that I do all I can to keep up with what is being talked about, things like tools, processes, marketing and skills, systems etc. Our team, Team Transformation (myself and my twin daughters Aria and Dejon) managed to capture our first 1,000 leads in approximately 7 months.
The 5 things that I’ve chosen to talk about in this post are ALL things that you need to know about BUT, there is one item out of the 5 that I really want you to listen to intently and pay close attention to. This one can make or break your business.
If you are a visual learner, then make sure to click on the video to hear about all 5 items, including the item that can made a difference between failure and success in your business. If you are not a visual learner, then feel free to read on below the video.
When you are working in this industry, you need to be able to understand these 5 things:
#1 Generating Leads
Without leads you really don’t have a business. Here are some factors that indicate that you understand what generating leads entails:
– Finding people interested in hearing about what you have to offer
– Determine the cost of generating each lead
– Use a lead capture page to collect data
– Nurture your list
#2 Attending Events
Attending events is vital to the growth of your business. Here are some factors that shed light on the importance of attending events:
– The opportunity to networking and meet new people
– The opportunity to learn about your company, services, products
– When you attend an event of ‘like-minded’ people and hearing success stories, you will become naturally motivated.
– Keeps you connected and plugged in
#3 Friends and Family
Friends and family can be very difficult to talk to about your business. They usually do not want to buy products or join the company. Here are some pointers regarding friends and family in your business
– Friends and Family will typically give you a hard time about your business
– Friends and Family don’t usually want to buy from you
– Friends and Family are often difficult to maintain as a customer
– Friends and Family cannot sustain your business long term
#4 Disappointment and Rejection
Everyone is not going to buy from you or join you in business and that’s okay. When you are faced with rejection and disappointment as a result; learn to let it go and move on. Here are some lessons to retain about being disappointment and rejection:
– Handle it positively – with a smile
– Know that prospects do not reject you… they reject your product, service or business opportunity
– Don’t force the issue when they reject your product, service or business opportunity; let it go
– Ask for a referral
This next one, an autoresponder, is the thing that I mentioned could make or break your business.
An autoresponder is a tool that automatically sends a series of emails to subscribers. It will deliver content to your subscribers in a fairly “hands off” manner. You can write content and schedule it to be sent to your subscribers.
– Technology takes care of the follow-up
– Followup is 24/7
– Allows you to utilize the dripping method
– Ability to announce events
– Allows for broadcast messages
– Keeps you consistent and persistent in communicating with your subscribers
– Tracks metrics such as open rate
At the end of this video, I asked this question at minute 14:24 and I really want to know what you think.
Answer with a yes or no in the comments section and feel free to tell me more about what you think. You’ve already heard my opinion; (you’ll hear mine at minute 13:20 in the video, but I would definitely love to know yours!
Prospecting, recruiting and conversion becomes easy once you are aware of the tools and systems that are out there to help you do it. Getting the right tools in place puts you in a ‘ready, set, go’ position to get results and be successful. If that sounds like something you want for your business… you can have it!!
If you are having a hard time trying to build your business, get more leads, sponsor more people and/or get more sales than it is time to make some changes. The system that our team uses has helped us bring 1,000 leads into our home based business in approximately 7 months.
